The Rolex Sky-Dweller is the most complicated watch Rolex makes: an annual calendar that knows the length of each month, a second time zone on an off-centre 24-hour disc, and the Ring Command bezel that selects which function the crown adjusts. BeepWear lists two pre-owned Sky-Dwellers, both reference 326933 in steel and yellow gold at 42mm, priced at $24,000 and $24,500. Each was inspected before listing and is photographed as the actual watch.
Which Sky-Dweller is in stock? Two examples of the 326933, the Rolesor Sky-Dweller in Oystersteel with an 18k yellow gold fluted bezel, introduced in 2017 when Rolex brought the model down from solid gold into steel and two-tone for the first time. The two listings differ in price by $500; the photographs on each listing show the individual watch.
What does a pre-owned Sky-Dweller cost? $24,000 and $24,500 here for the two-tone 326933. The Sky-Dweller launched in 2012 in precious metals only, at prices well above this; the 2017 Rolesor and steel references made it reachable, and the pre-owned market for them has settled in the mid-twenties in dollars for two-tone. Solid gold Sky-Dwellers sit considerably higher.
How do the Sky-Dweller’s functions work? The month is shown by twelve small windows around the dial, one above each hour marker; the current month’s window is red. The annual calendar, which Rolex calls Saros, needs correcting once a year at the end of February. The off-centre disc shows a 24-hour reference time, so you can keep home time visible while the main hands show local time. To set anything, you turn the fluted bezel to one of three positions and the single crown then adjusts the chosen function. It is the only Rolex with that system.
Sky-Dweller or GMT-Master II? Both show a second time zone. The GMT-Master II is the 40mm tool watch with a rotating 24-hour bezel; the Sky-Dweller is the 42mm dress watch with the annual calendar. If you travel and want a sports watch, the GMT-Master II page lists the Pepsi and Root Beer references; if you want the calendar and the larger case, this is the watch.
What should you check before buying a used Sky-Dweller? Work the Ring Command bezel through its positions; it should click into each one and the crown should respond to the right function in each. Advance the date past the end of a 30-day month and confirm the month window moves with it. Check the bracelet clasp and the Easylink extension. Every piece here was inspected before it was listed.
How does BeepWear list and ship these? One listing per watch, with the reference in the title and the current price. Orders ship insured within the United States; the authenticity guarantee, the returns policy and the warranty terms each have their own page. All pre-owned Rolex on the site are on the Rolex page.
